Virginia Erwin Sirera has a passion for Family Mediation. She has been an attorney for more than thirty years, and a qualified civil and family law mediator since 2008. After practicing Family Law exclusively for almost fifteen years, she saw a tremendous need for a better way to help families resolve their conflicts, rather than going to Family Court. In 2020, she began Sirera Mediation Services, and now works exclusively as a Mediator.
She has recruited a Top-Notch Panel of Family Mediators, all of whom, like herself, are listed on the Louisiana State Bar Registry of Child Custody Mediators, eligible for Court-Ordered appointment throughout the State of Louisiana. Ms. Sirera earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University in 1987, and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 1992. In addition to the training required by the Louisiana Mediation Statutes, she has received training through the Harvard University Program on Mediation.
A proud 2017 graduate of Leadership St. Tammany, Virginia is active in the community and has served on the Council of her local church, the Executive Board of the PTA, and the Alumni Foundation Board of Leadership St. Tammany. She has successfully mediated scores of cases. In addition to serving as a speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars on the topics of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Professionalism, Ms. Sirera is frequently called upon by colleagues to aid with resolving complex matters through mediation.
